Removed Sites From Greenguy Link O'Rama
From time to time we do have to remove sites from our database and these are the more popular reasons for this being done.
- Our LinkBot said that your site was down - this could be a nubmer of things - 302 (redirects), 404 (page missing), 403 (forbidden message), Host Not Found, Unable To Connect, 500 (internal server error), META REFRESH's. The LinkBot kicks back about 75-150 sites a day due to this - we can not re-check them all, so they are deleted (redirects are looked at if it appears that the site has moved and the new URL is then listed) Server errors are not put on the shitlist - 404's and redirects are banned for life.
- Site has changed after listing and has now broken the linking rules - we do check all the links about 3-5 times a year. Also, often surfers will email in complaints about sites. These are deleted automatically after the change has been verified and the domain is put on the shitlist for life.
Old sites - any site that is not updated within the last 6 months will be removed. This does NOT mean that sites are dropped after 6 months, just that sites that are not maintained are deleted. We do have a way to check this, so make sure you are at least updating the page you submitted every now and then (HINT - also make sure the date/time on your computer and your server are correct) These sites are not put on the shitlist.

That's basically it - if you site was removed because of one of the above reason other then shitlist reasons, you may of course correct it and re-submit.
